Upon meeting her, he is impressed that she is a successful woman with a great career that is financially rewarding.

Nonetheless, he is far more interested in getting to know her as a person so as to ascertain whether they are compatible.

That is his primary intent.

The thing is, he already knows that if he hits it off with her, he will still be expected to ultimately carry the financial load down the line, especially when they have children.

Thereby, a woman’s financial success isn’t all that important to him.

Plenty of women who have been successful in their education and careers that make good money often lead with their accomplishments.

You have probably done this with men you have dated in the past.

Nothing wrong with being proud of your accomplishments.

Nevertheless, when this success is constantly referenced, it can be unsettling to a guy.

Not because he is intimidated by your success, but more so that he wants to focus on other more pertinent factors in how he qualifies you as a potential partner.

The constant referencing of said success also makes it seem as though this is all you are about and there isn’t much else to your personality.

It’s crucial you don’t misconstrue the man who genuinely is happy for your success but is seeking a deeper connection with you that goes beyond how much money you make versus the man who is genuinely intimidated by the fact you make more than him.

The man who is intimidated to date a girl that makes more money than him is often transparent with his insecurities.

This is where he is constantly diminishing all of your accomplishments to make it seem as though you have done nothing worthwhile.

He will often be critical or judgmental of you in several aspects so as to dismantle your confidence.

This is where he critiques your opinions, fashion sense, friends, family, and yes, your physicality.

He won’t hesitate to say something critical about your physique that he knows will make you feel self-conscious even though you know that he is not telling the truth.

Whatever he knows will have the biggest effect on your self-esteem is what he will attack or go after.

This is the behavior of a man who is intimidated by a woman who makes more than him.

But, again, a secure man isn’t like this.

He acknowledges your successes but wants to get to know you as a person.

When you fall into the trap of constantly touting your success to such a man, you run a risk of turning him off and losing him.
