Getting into the same activities he likes to do is a way to get him to be generally comfortable around you to start with.
This is where you are doing activities that he enjoys doing, whether they be sports-related or otherwise.
You are engaging in these activities with him consistently and showing a real energy and enjoyment in doing them.
In these moments, you make him feel like an expert as the inquisitive girl who asks him about his expertise with how to do something.
For example, if you become a part of a run club that he is a part of and you run alongside him on several occasions, you can ask him about his running technique and how to go about becoming a better runner.
Whenever he gives you his advice, you pay close attention to what he is saying.
To improve your running technique, you actually apply what he teaches you.
As time passes, he clearly notices that you are taking heed of his teachings and applying what he has taught you to your own running technique.
This automatically makes him become so much more fond of you.
It lets him know that what he teaches you isn’t going in one ear and out the other.
You are genuinely heeding his advice and applying it to your running game.
When you build this kind of rapport with him over several weeks, it gives you an opportunity to compliment him multiple times without it seeming awkward.
Your early compliments shouldn’t be centered on his physical features.
You can play it safe by sticking with complimenting something to do with running, whether it be his running technique or the outfits and footwear he puts on for running; you have a wide berth of safe and relevant compliments you can give him over several weeks without the compliments ever getting so personal that they make him uncomfortable.
Over several weeks of this kind of rapport building, he is bound to want to introduce you to his friends, several of whom aren’t part of the run club, by inviting you to a house party or weekend barbecue.
When you are in this social environment and physically around his friends, showcase your amazing personality to them.
This is where you have the opportunity to charm his friends by making them laugh; giving them helpful information around a topic you are familiar with and they are interested in; playing fun games with them such as cards or video games; and showing them that you are a totally fun girl to hang out with as you clearly show that you also love their company.
All of this leads to several of them putting in a good word about you to the guy you like.
They would essentially be your covert agents, as they tell this guy about how much they like your fun-loving energy, spunk, and humor.
Before you know it, the guy you like is compelled to ask you to do something with him on a one-on-one basis.
At this stage, he may not be fully certain that you like him, but the invite becomes your chance to take your interaction with him to a new level.
So, even though it isn’t technically a romantic date, the chance to hang out with him one-on-one allows you to flirt with him on a more sensual level and show him a more fun and thrilling side of you that he doesn’t get to see when he is running alongside you at run club.
Remember, a run club is just an example.
He might have a passion for hiking, biking, pickleball, surfing, etc.
Whatever it is, become a part of it and endear yourself to him when you are engaging in said activity.
Be patient as you build a warm rapport with him over time.
This is how you not only get on a path to showing him you like him without making him uncomfortable but also have a genuinely strong chance at getting him to like you back too.
