Every time you think you have found the right person for you, it doesn’t work out.
Everything seemed to be promising at first.
He matched with you on a dating app, approached you at the gym, bumped into you at a deli, or bought you a drink at a bar.
One thing led to another, and you were talking over the phone soon after.
With some of these guys, a few dates materialized.
With others, no dates materialized.
Either way, it didn’t work out.
The ones you went out on dates with ultimately ghosted you and so did the ones who wasted your time talking to you on the phone but never asked you out.
All of this has culminated in you wanting to give up on dating entirely.
Every time you get your hopes up about a guy, he disappoints you.
What’s worse is that you know that these men are actively talking to other women.
You see him on social media following a litany of attractive women or out on a night on the town with his guy friends socializing with scantily-clad women or at a party with a bunch of girls hanging around him looking drunk and wasted.
He basically has an active social life and isn’t a hermit.
To this end, you look at yourself and ask why he chooses to interact with all these girls who seem like they have nothing but their sexuality to offer.
It makes you question your own self-worth.
You take great pride in having morals and a good head on your shoulders, and yet you never get chosen by these men.
Rather, you get used for their personal aggrandizement or to kill boredom for a while and then get tossed out like a piece of trash.
It takes so much energy and emotion out of you whenever you meet yet another guy you are attracted to and seems promising, only to have all that energy and emotion wasted a few weeks later when they ghost you.
Whenever this happens, you are completely drained and exasperated.
That is most likely where you are now.
Yet again, you have had a guy come into your life who you thought had promise.
He was making great conversation with you, and the laughter and flirting were constant.
The dates were great, and he paid for them too.
Everything seemed to be moving in the right direction, and you were finally on the threshold of locking down someone with bona fide long-term potential.
Alas, this never came to fruition.
He ghosted you just like all the other attractive guys before him.
This has you at your wit’s end, and you want to capitulate and give up on dating entirely.
You shouldn’t.
Given that you have actively tried to find a committed relationship with a guy, you clearly want one.
Instead of giving up, think about doing things differently.
Instead of relying on meeting men at the same places you usually do, meet them somewhere else.
Join or become a part of an interest group in something you like, such as running, hiking, cycling, etc., and socialize with men there.
These men would already have something in common with you, and as you get to know them, you are going to discover that there are a bunch of other interests you have in common.
Oftentimes, these are men who would be great candidates for a long-term relationship because you get to build a friendship with them first.
As the friendship blossoms, it can organically transition into a romantic relationship if the two of you establish romantic chemistry.
Men you meet randomly are far more likely to disappoint and ghost you than the men you establish friendships with first.
A friendship facilitates vetting, which weeds out the men who aren’t serious and only want a girl’s attention for a period of time before ghosting her.
