Chivalrous guys still exist when it comes to dating, but some due diligence is required to find them.
They are primarily found in the smaller towns and cities.
This is where there is way less of a population in comparison to those who live in the bigger cities.
Smaller towns and cities allow for guys who are more old-fashioned in their approach to dating.
There isn’t the constant, frantic, self-centered atmosphere that exists in the larger metro areas.
Men in these larger metro areas are far more concerned about making their next dollar and climbing up the corporate ladder of the major corporation they work for, elevating their socio-economic bona fides, and obfuscating how they view dating in general as far as who they deem to be the prize.
On the contrary, the men who live in smaller towns and cities have a different approach to life.
They usually work for a mom-and-pop business instead of a major conglomerate.
This saves them from the constant push and pull and stress of having to climb the corporate ladder.
As a man who works in a mom-and-pop local business, he isn’t so consumed with telling you about all of his corporate titles and the size of his bank account as a big-city guy would.
He isn’t working for ungodly hours on his unquenchable quest to reach the top of the corporate ladder and earn the most prestigious corporate title that comes with the largest salary.
Rather, the guy who lives and works in a smaller town or city takes joy in what he does but doesn’t see it as his only path to happiness and validation.
He doesn’t require a lofty corporate title and multiple digits in his bank account to believe he has value to the world and those around him.
Indeed, he is nowhere close to being that self-centered and insecure.
The quintessential big-city guy doesn’t court you in the traditional sense, with a viewpoint that you are the prize who is worthy of being pursued.
Instead, he courts you with an intention of having you prove that you are worthy of his precious time and money.
Arrogantly, he actually sees himself as the prize.
If you match with him on a dating app or are introduced to him through a social event or friends, you aren’t the one who will feel like you are being pursued.
On the contrary, you would be the one who is doing most of the calling, texting, and requesting to go out on dates with him.
Basically, he would give you the feeling that he is having to fit you into his busy city life schedule.
All of this is far from chivalrous.
On the contrary, the small-town or city guy has a far more traditional approach to courting a girl.
Being that he works regular hours for a mom-and-pop business, he doesn’t have to slot you into a so-called busy schedule as the big-city guy does.
He has enough time availability to court you properly, which makes for consistent dates that are well-planned-out.
As long as you are comfortable with it, he is a gentleman in picking you up for each date and safely dropping you off at the end of it.
Unlike the unchivalrous big-city guy who would be at a date with you and spend most of the time talking about himself, lauding his corporate profession and sophisticated big-city lifestyle, the small-town or city guy doesn’t pontificate about himself.
Being chivalrous, he wants to learn about you and asks good questions in reference to that.
Moving forward, he courts you with intention and treats you as the prize.
The closest you will get to chivalrous men in larger metro areas would be to find communities where people are more conservative in how they live their lives, such as those who are religious, or put yourself in spaces such as country clubs where you can find men who are of an older generation who still adhere to traditional ideals.
