When a woman is overly clingy, it is an absolute turn off to men.

It’s perfectly fine when she has moments where she is clingy, but it becomes a turn off when she goes overboard with it.

It’s one thing for her to get jealous every now and then when a female colleague sends him an innocuous text message, it’s another thing when she is incessantly checking his phone to see how many girls he has been texting all week.

A man that knows that he is dating a girl who doesn’t trust him enough to avoid checking his phone when he isn’t present, is a man that is absolutely turned off and irritated by her.

An overly clingy woman is a personality trait that is an absolute turn off to men when it goes too far.

A woman that is in too much of her boyfriend’s business isn’t at all appealing.

She is fervently watching him when he is on his phone, wondering who he is chatting with.

She is constantly monitoring what he is doing on social media, studying every one of his posts and comments to ensure that it has nothing to do with women.

In the same vain, she watches who he is following on social media and who is following him.

How many of those people are women?

How many of those women are attractive and youthful?

She worries that these are women that are in competition with her, even though she is already his girlfriend and he has shown no signs whatsoever of wanting to leave her.

Being that she is so insecure about losing him, she makes herself believe that there is something amiss in the relationship when nothing is.

If he arrives late to hang out with her at home, she assumes that he was hanging out with a girl before arriving at her home.

This isn’t true.

He was caught up in traffic.

She is so fearful of losing him, she embraces a negative interpretation of his lateness and surmises that he was with another girl that he isn’t telling her about.

Identically, her insecurity makes her uneasy whenever he is hanging out with friends, as she worries about whether he has spent those hours without thinking about her.

This is what leads her to text him while he is playing poker with his friends.

This is a text message he is unable to get to until hours later, given that he is playing poker and socializing with his friends.

Once he gets a bathroom break, he looks at his smartphone, sees the text that she sent a few hours ago, and the one she sent right after the first, and the one she sent right after the second, ad infinitum.

At his first bathroom break, he has been sent a plethora of desperate texts from his overly clingy girlfriend.

This quickly annoys him.

He is upset that he is incapable of spending a few hours with his friends playing poker, without his girlfriend blasting him with numerous texts, asking why he isn’t replying to her text messages.

This is an absolute turn off to him, and as he walks out of the bathroom to return to his friends in the living room, he is complaining to them about all of her texts.

His friends tell him that this is a red flag.

An overly clingy personality trait only gets worse with time.

Eventually, her boyfriend gets so fed up with her insecurity, he ditches her.

Needless to say, don’t be an overly clingy girlfriend.
