Guys have a huge preference for women who haven’t slept with an abundance of men.
This is especially pertinent when they are looking to settle down with a woman.
A woman at 25 or in her 30’s who is saving herself for marriage is like a unicorn.
They don’t come across all that many women who are already in their mid-20s or 30’s who haven’t already been sexually active with men for several years.
This makes you stick out.
It isn’t every day that a guy approaches a girl in her mid-20s or 30’s and later learns that she is saving herself for marriage.
This doesn’t make you weird to guys, it makes you unique.
You are a standout, and that is refreshing.
Now, do be careful, there are guys out there that are sharks.
They pretend to be cute dolphins at first, but they are actually sharks.
These are the guys that see it as a challenge to get a woman at 25 or in her 30’s, who is saving herself for marriage, to eventually give in and have sex with them before marriage.
These are the sharks dressing themselves up as dolphins in the beginning.
He praises you for having such great morals by saving yourself for marriage, and talks to you as though he cares about who you are as a person.
As he gets to know you on a deeper basis, you open up to him about your family, friends, goals, strengths, fears, aspirations, deepest secrets, etc.
He is patient too.
He talks to you for months if he has to, slowly and methodically breaking down your internal defenses and getting you to fall for him.
Once he knows that you are emotionally attached to him, the shark comes out.
He attempts to sleep with you.
You object, reminding him about your desire to save yourself for marriage.
He tries to convince you that it is all the same as he sees himself marrying you in the foreseeable future anyway.
Thereby, he doesn’t see the point in you making him wait until marriage.
You object, rightfully telling him that you expect to be married first, with a wedding ring on your finger, before doing anything of the sort with him.
He gets mad.
Suddenly, he is barely texting and calling, and rather than spending the weekend with you, as he has for the last several months, he spends it with his friends.
He is fully aware of what he is doing.
By taking the attention away from you and giving you the silent treatment, he is intent on breaking down your resolve to not sleep with him.
He wants you to yearn for his attention so much that you finally cave and sleep with him.
Once this happens, he has conquered you.
He has won.
He gets to brag to his friends about how he got you to give him your virginity.
For plenty of guys like this, taking your virginity is a badge of honor or a trophy.
This conquest was his motive, and not a true desire to get to know you as a person and pursue a committed relationship with you.
Watch out for these sharks.
It isn’t hard to spot them.
They are predisposed to having a bevy of women that they are sleeping with on the side.
This keeps him from getting bored while he is in the process of attempting to deflower a conquest.
Watch his behavior on social media too.
Is he following oodles of beautiful women?
Take a look at his friends.
His friends are a reflection of him.
Are they in wholesome relationships, or a bunch of players?
Learn about his ex-girlfriends.
Do they speak kindly of him, or think him a narcissist?
There are a multitude of clues that you have the agency to avail yourself of in the early stages.
Practicing this cautious strategy saves you from becoming the victim of a shark, all dressed up as a dolphin.
