Yesterday a guy who is friend of my university flat said he liked me and we got to know each other a bit better than I get a text saying he wanted to stay friends as he was not ready for a relationship but didn’t want to lead me on but I did have feelings for him. We have agreed to stay friends but he has stopped texting me and will ignore or give me short answers even though we still friends I have put it behind me but he won’t talk to me about it.
He told you pretty politely that he wasn’t interested. Your wanting to engage him on why or explore things further is most likely going make him feel very uncomfortable. Let it go, don’t initiate contact for 6 months or a year, and then only in the lightest casual, hey just checking on you kind of way.
