I’m super confused where my boyfriend stands right now. We’ve been together for a year now, and recently 2 weeks ago.. sent me photos of engagement rings. He was in CA for his sisters wedding, and just got back home the other day. He told me we need to “slow down”… I told him he is setting my expectations incredibly high by sending me photos of rings, talking about our wedding one day, and our kids. And his response was, “I just get excited sometimes.” So, all in all.. I’m just not too sure where his head is at right now.
Sounds like the sort of thing I would do. I also get excited sometimes XD. He may not know where his head is at this time either… He may be trying to figure that out. Thanks for sharing 🙂
He did just start a new job today and just recently moved to NYC which is where I live. We have been through our ups and downs and he has trouble communicating internally with himself i think. For example, I get photos of rings and then he disappears for a few days.. but he always comes back. For me though, how do you think I should handle this. I deal and put up with it, but I also want him to be able to open up to me. He can get excited, but I would also like him to be able to follow through.
Ummmm quick disclaimer… I’m quite inexperienced when it comes to relationships. I suppose you two could discuss which direction you two hope the relationship to go without deciding specific dates for anything 🙂
