So I finally followed through with my pledge to talk to this girl I’ve been seeing around for months, we’d been staring at each other for all this time, locking eyes but never doing anything about it.
She was in the campus library and I made an excuse to go over and talk to her once and for all, she sees me coming and I ask her rather stupidly a ‘yes-no’ question… “Are you using this?” I was referring to one of the laptops around, she smiles and shakes her head. I intended on continuing up with conversation but I kinda asked a question that made it hard to do so, but also, she didn’t actually say anything to me and it threw me off.
So was this a sign she wasn’t interested in talking, on the other hand she’s pretty shy (from her mannerisms) and she did also smile as I approached. Should I give it another try?
It wasn’t a sign that she wasn’t interested in talking. You asked her a question that didn’t leave an opening to start a conversation.
Yes, you should give it another try.
The both of you have been staring at each other for a while and she smiled at you as you approached her in the campus library. These may all be indications of romantic interest.
It’s best to be sure about how she truly feels about you by giving this another try and this time, avoid asking her an open and shut question.
