Why does he seem interested in real life and shows massive signs of liking you but not so much over text. For example, we will have a great conversation when we meet up in real life, lot’s of eye contact and flirting etc, but he won’t bother to initiate any contact with me after and is very blunt over text until you meet again where the whole process starts over!

He may seem interested in real life and show massive signs of liking you but not so much over text because you don’t occupy his thoughts when the both of you are apart.
This means that there may either be someone else that tends to occupy his thoughts in a romantic sense or he may not be emotionally available to anyone at this time.
When you meet up with him and have great conversations, make lots of eye contact and flirt, he is allowing himself to get lost in the moment.
This is how he lets himself remember that he is still capable of having this kind of interaction with a girl.
However, being that he is not looking to take his relationship with you any further than this, he doesn’t initiate any contact afterward and tends to be blunt when he does text.
A guy like this will often use a girl to make himself feel like he is still desirable.
However, being that he is either interested in some other girl or just not emotionally available, he will often maintain his distance when he is not around the girl that he has been seemingly showing interest to in real life.
