They state they wanna meet up (dating app) but they take maybe 2-4 hours to respond. Isn’t that a sign that down the road they’re not going to be attentive if a relationship develops?

    Hi Monica,

It may not necessarily be a bad sign if they are taking a few hours to respond.

You’re still in the early stages of speaking to each other and thereby, there may be other dating prospects that this person is also speaking to.

Being that you met this person on a dating app, it is all the more likely that they are speaking to other dating prospects.

At this stage, you may still have some competition for this person’s time.

Also, you don’t really know what this person’s schedule is like. It may be a schedule that keeps them from being able to respond as promptly as they would like to.

As long as they respond to you within a few hours of your message, they are still showing signs of interest.

If a relationship develops down the road, this person may become more prompt with their responses if they have now made you a priority in their life.

Meaning, there are no other dating prospects nor are they allowing a busy lifestyle to impede them.

Since this person has expressed a desire to meet up, it is best that you do that as soon as you can.

The sooner you meet, the easier it will be for the both of you to determine whether you have true chemistry in real life. If there is, this person may be more motivated to make you a priority a lot sooner.
