Dating someone that works two jobs can be doable, depending on how much time you normally want to spend with someone that you are dating and how long this situation will last.
If you are fine with dating someone that you don’t get to see that often, it could work.
However, in time, you will naturally want to spend more time with this person.
This is where the length of time that you are in this situation becomes important.
Is this person working these two jobs as a temporary situation so as to help them out of a current plight?
Perhaps they are looking to pay off some debt and once they do, they intend to only work one job.
Perhaps they are trying to save up for something and thereby will stop working two jobs when they reach that monetary goal.
In other words, you need to know why this person is working two jobs and how long they intend to do it.
Again, if you are not someone who typically needs to spend a lot of time with a person that you just started dating, dating someone that works two jobs could work.
You both have to coordinate the times that you would both be available to each other.
Hence, it becomes important to know what each other’s schedules are.
But again, if you date this person for a sustained period of time, you will reach a point where you will want to spend more time with them.
This is where it gets tricky.
So, it is best to have an honest conversation with this person that works two jobs.
Ask them about what their reasoning is for working two jobs and how long they intend to do it.
If they give you a response that makes you hesitate about whether it would be wise to date them, it may be best for you to hold off on doing so.
Perhaps, it may be best that you maintain only a friendship with this person at this time.
If they reach a point where they are only working one job and you so happen to be available, you could perhaps see about courting each other again.
So, all of this really comes down to what you can handle and your long-term plans.
Dating a person that works two jobs can work if all that you are looking for is a casual relationship.
The both of you can come in and out of each other’s lives depending on your schedules without much fuss because you are only looking to hook up every now and then.
However, if you are actually wanting to date someone in the hopes of establishing a committed relationship with them, you will have to ask all these questions and truly think things through.
If you only work one job, it can be difficult not to build up resentment towards a person that you are dating who works two jobs when you want to hang out with that person on your free time and they are just not available.
Again, this is something that you may be able to endure if you know that this is only going to be a temporary situation based on what this person has told you about why they are working two jobs.
However, how patient of a person are you?
Again, these are all very important questions that you need to ask yourself before choosing to date someone who works two jobs?
