When you take pride in who you are first and foremost, guys sense your wealth of independence and confidence.

This alone makes them respect you.

It doesn’t matter what you do for a living, what you look like or what your social circle is like.

The key here is to take pride in yourself.

You have to convey the aura of being someone who knows what they are about and is totally at peace with it.

A lack of confidence and security in yourself is begging for men to disrespect you.

Doubting yourself and what you want out of life foments disrespect.

A guy sees this and judges you as weak.

They decide to take advantage of the situation by luring you into doing something you don’t want to or deceiving you.

By telling you words that they know make you feel better about yourself, they win your trust and follow that up with taking advantage of you.

They saw a weakness in you and exploited it.

You have probably known someone who has been in this situation in your life.

A friend, neighbor, or family member.

This is conceivably your own life experience too.

It’s unfortunate that people use and deceive those they clearly see are doubtful about themselves.

It is unfortunate but undeniable, and it is part of human nature.

Take pride in you and believe in what you have to offer.

As I mentioned earlier, it is not about your status nor about what you do for a living.

What if you sweep floors for a living?

Yet, when you take pride in who you are as a person within, you have an aura that demands respect.

On the flip side, you are a corporate executive, but exude a sense of unhappiness and uncertainty about yourself, and someone takes advantage of you.

Guys respect you when you respect yourself.

They have to get the sense of individuality that you exude.

The feeling that you are someone who is comfortable with yourself and that you are not weak.

This doesn’t mean you go out into the world with a scowl on your face nor that you address people in a lowly fashion as though they were beneath you.

It means that you have confidence, pride and belief in yourself.

Guys know you are someone who deserves respect when they watch you walk, talk, socialize and handle yourself.

He is compelled to respond to the vibe that he is experiencing from you, and in getting the vibe that you are confident, he wants to act accordingly so that he matches up to you.

In this aspect, he is showing respect and deference, demonstrating that you both have something in common.
